This year’s Pentecost brought summer to Munich. Summer in the city, taking a bath in the Isar, a Monday which feels like a Sunday… what more could one ask for? Well, there is something more: an Italian dinner party at Como en Casa. Normally our followers are used to read a extensive summary of our last dinner party, but this time we would like to share with you our guest Viviana D’Angelo’s experience at Como en Casa. She surprised us with a wonderful post on her blog Vivisdeliriums (vivisdeliriums.wordpress.com) we would like to share: “Como en Casa: Essen daheim – uns so viel besser als zuhause” (click on the title to read it).
As the post is in German we still want to give our English-speaking followers a brief summary of our very Italian night. We invited our international guests for a toast with Rossini – a Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene with iced cold strawberry mousse. Mr.Fulano didn’t have a lot of time to get to know our Argentinian, French, German and Italian guests as he had to prepare the first round, homemade tricoloured Bocconcini di Ricotta – a ricotta pastry filled with ham and ricotta while Mrs. Fulanita invited our guests to the table beautifully decorated with basil, cherry tomatoes, flowers and homemade Focaccia. While our guests enjoyed the little starters Mr. Fulano prepared the Primi Piatti, pasta – what else!. We served Cappellettis con Zucca alla Salvia e Fonduta di Parmigiano or homemade cappellettis stuffed with roasted and flavoured pumpkin, sautéed in sage butter and served in a parmesan fondue. Consistent to the flavours we offered a South Tyrolean Chardonnay “Castelfeder Doss” an elegant with fine nuances of fruits. To be in the right order, the homemade Cappellettis where followed by the secondi piatti – Tonno in Crosta di Pepe, Risotto al Radicchio e Salsa di Peperoni, fresh tuna fish in a black pepper crust, risotto with radicchio on a mirror of red bell-pepper sauce served with a “Castelfeder 15”. The South Tyrolean Pinot Grigio with its full body rounded our main dish perfectly. Last but not least the dessert, Ciocolato Amadei con Frutti Rossi Marinati con Pistacchi – Bittersweet chocolate mousse with red berries marinated with orange, vanilla and pistachios together with a Tuscan sweet wine “Vin santo del Chianti”.
